The SENER Foundation opens the door to corporate volunteering

Madrid (Spain), 9 March 2020 – The SENER Foundation has received the certificate as a voluntary organisation from the Mayor of Tres Cantos, Jesús Moreno, and the Councillor for Family and Equality, Sonia Lolo, an accreditation that shows the commitment of the SENER group and the SENER Foundation to developing voluntary programmes so that people from the business group can participate in the development projects promoted by the foundation.
The meeting was held in the Tres Cantos Town Hall and was attended by the Director of the SENER Foundation, Rosana Madroñal, the Head of People Management at SENER in Madrid, Pilar Aragón, and the SENER Foundation volunteer, Ángel Sánchez Villegas.
During the meeting, Jesús Moreno pointed out “the importance of public-private collaboration, to build bridges between companies and society, with a special strategic volunteer programme for companies, through the Volunteer Information Point”. For her part, Rosana Madroñal highlighted that “the people who dedicate their efforts, time and enthusiasm to volunteer work show a deep vocation for helping others. With this initiative, from the SENER Foundation we intend to channel and promote the social action of SENER’s people so that they can contribute their knowledge and technical skills to improve the quality of life of underprivileged societies and groups through the solidarity engineering projects promoted by the SENER Foundation”.
This initiative, as well as the activities carried out by the SENER Foundation, form part of the actions that the SENER group develops in the field of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). Since its origins, SENER has been a company committed to its professionals, the environment and society, seeking to improve its surroundings through engineering, technology and innovation.
